Martin Baumert

In January 2018, Martin Baumert was appointed COO of Swiss Financial Advisers (acquired from UBS by Vontobel Holding AG in 2022). He assumes responsibilities for Operations/Middle Office, IT, Project Management, Risk and Tax department. He also supervises the Finance team and manages the relationship with external service providers.

Martin has over 30 years of experience in Private Banking, Asset Management, Fund Administration, Depot Bank and Custody business. Before joining Swiss Financial Advisers he worked for UBS in Luxembourg as Head of Operations and member of the management committee. This role comprised the regional operational responsibility for various European locations as well as for strategic change activities overseeing more than 300 employees. Next to these roles, he was acting Board Member for multiple Investment Funds in Luxembourg.

While working for UBS in Frankfurt between 1991 and 2006, Martin took over senior roles in Project Management and Operations. He spent 3.5 years working for UBS Bahamas where he was appointed Head of Operations and deputy COO. His international career started with joining DG Bank in Zurich and London in the early 1990’s. Martin holds a banking diploma and further senior leadership programs within UBS and IMD Lausanne.

In his private life, Martin enjoys being “outdoor” active in Switzerland, spends his family time in Luxembourg and enjoys the Mediterranean lifestyle in Spain.
