Arturo Stoecklin

Arturo Stoecklin has been appointed Market Head Latin America of Vontobel Swiss Financial Advisers with effect from 1 January 2024. He is responsible for driving Vontobel SFA’s Strategy to serve clients with Latin American roots served from the Vontobel SFA Miami Branch.

Arturo has more than 35 years of experience in the wealth management business, leading teams serving clients domiciled in Latin America. Since 2016, he has been Head of the Private Client Business Unit “Latin America & South Africa” at Vontobel.

Prior to joining Vontobel, Arturo spent 27 years with UBS AG in various managerial positions in Switzerland and abroad. He started his career in 1989 in the Corporate Banking Division of UBS AG in Zurich, Switzerland. In 1999, he was appointed Representative Officer at the UBS Representative Office in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After returning from his three-year assignment in 2002, he became Deputy Desk Head Wealth Management Southern Latin America in Zurich, Switzerland, until 2006, when he was offered the opportunity to head the UBS Representative Office in Lima, Peru. Upon his return to headquarters in 2009, he was appointed Head of Wealth Management HNWI for the Caribbean, Andean and Southern Latin America at UBS Switzerland. He held this position until joining Vontobel in 2016.

Arturo holds a Bachelor of Science (FH) in Business Administration from the University of Applied Sciences in Zurich, has successfully completed the Swiss Finance Institute's Senior Management Program in Banking and has participated in various senior leadership programs within UBS and at IMD Lausanne.
